TREYNOR BASEBALL IS
GROWING
Treynor Baseball Coach
Bob Mantell stated he had the largest ever turnout of
youth for baseball this past summer. Treynor had a Freshman
team for the first time along with the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Mantell said his assistants were Eric Allen and Nigel
Horton. Horton coached the freshmen team of mainly 8th graders
that played very strong against teams of mainly 9th graders. Mantell explained the junior varsity team improved through
the season and ended with about equal wins and losses. The varsity team
also improved through the season ending with a better win-loss record than the
previous year. Mantell stated that next year he
expects the team to be better and he is very optimistic about Treynor High
baseball performance over the next few years.
